We create beautiful and usable landscapes that compliment the surrounding architecture and maximise every square inch of space.

From oak joinery to finely finished concreting

We love to see the honesty of raw finishes in our creations and want whatever we build to sit comfortably within the surroundings, to age naturally and feel as if it’s always been there. We strive for a timeless style that doesn’t bow to trends and use the finest materials that client budgets allow, so that our creations stand the test of time.

We relish the challenge of finding ways to make the most of even neglected spaces like side alleys. Using these usually “dead spaces” to build wildlife ponds and bespoke greenhouses.

Conscientious construction

We carefully dug out the old, unevenly laid tarmac driveway and nondescript front garden to avoid damaging underlying drainage and mature plants. The fall of the drive could then be corrected from the foundations up to create an even slope away from the house. The need for added drains was negated by laying our slabs on top of a porous weed proof membrane and sub base.

We created a plan ahead of time that allowed us access to each slab for hand finishing. We mixed the reinforced concrete onsite to reduce waste, and a stepped approach allowed us to use fewer timber moulds, which were later used as the base of a garden room. As the pictures show, care and attention to detail in protecting the existing building and precious plants comes as second nature to us -We’re so proud of how this turned out.
